Tonnage - Ballasters

Apply a Ballaster's ('able to make') calculation to your tonnage list to identify vessels able to make your defined parameters

  • The Ballasters icon enables a quick 'able to make' distance calculation on your tonnage tabs.
  • Clicking on the 'Ballaster's icon opens up a table.
  • You can calculate which of the advertised vessels in your tonnage tab can make a certain port by a certain ETA range (estimated time of arrival), at a given speed.

To perform a Ballasters calculation ...

    • Click-on, and fill-in the 3 required parameters to perform the calculation:
      • 'Speed' - select the speed to run the calculation on (default is 12.5 knots)
      • 'Able to Make' - select the Area or Port that you'd like the vessels to make
      • 'ETA Dates' - select the dates ETA Dates that you require for the above Area/Port.
    • Ensure the 'Advertised Ballasters' toggle (bottom right corner of table) is "on"

A new "ETA" Column will appear on your tonnage list for the tonnage tab you are working on.

The tonnage list will automatically sort by Ballast Duration (shortest to longest), followed by the ETA dates (earliest ETA to latest ETA).
